The pens come in black, red and blue and the pens are clicking pens. You must open the case in order to take the pens out. To do so, you simply pull back the top and since it is attached to the case, it will rotate backwards. If needed, you can use the convenient simple calculator on the top of the case. Don't worry about using up the ink and having no more Hello Kitty pens, you can simply put other pens in place of the used up ones.
