Return and Refund Policies

DEFECTIVE ITEMS

In the unfortunate case that you receive a defective manufactured item or a damaged item due to shipping, Yukji.com will be more than glad to replace the damaged or defective item as one of our promises. In order to help us to satisfy our valuable customers, please follow the instructions below to complete the defective merchandise return process:

Defective Merchandise Return Process:

  1. Retain the original packaging of the defective or damaged item.
  2. E-mail us the order number, the item code of the product, and the description of the damage within 14 days after delivery.
  3. Upon receiving your email in step 2, we will process your request and send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if your request is being approved.
    NOTE: If a RMA number is not issued to you, you will NOT be entitled to any refunds of the defective or damaged item, nor any compensation for any shipping and handling fees (if applicable).
  4. Once you have received the RMA number, please securely wrap the defective item prior sending it back to us via REGULAR AIR MAIL. The returned item has to be securely packaged and wrapped. We will not be responsible for any damages other than the defects that you have originally stated in your email; thus, you are greatly advised to use a trustworthy courier.
  5. After we have received your returned item, the item will be examined to ensure the damages you have described in the original e-mail from step 2 are present in the returned item. Your Defective Merchandise Return request will only be approved if the corresponding damages noted in your original email are found in your returned item.
    NOTE: If no exact damage has found in the item, or there are other damages to the item due to shipping the defective item back to us, we will not responsible for the additional damage.
  6. Once your Defective Merchandise Return request has been approved, the shipping cost of returning the product to us will be compensated in the form of a YUKJI Credit Note or a Cash credit through Paypal.
    NOTE: We will only pay for the REGULAR airmail shipping fee for the damaged returned item. If the damaged returned item is sent back to us via other types of shipping (i.e. registered Air Mail, Courier services, Express Mail or Next Day Air services.) we will only pay for the amount that REGULAR airmail shipping would have charged.
    *If no such damages are found in the item as described in the original email you have provided us in step 2, the returned item will be shipped back to you via regular airmail.
  7. Once your Defective Merchandise Return request has been approved, the same brand new item will be sent back to you via regular mail. If no such item is available (i.e. temporarily out of stock) at the time we process your defective product return process, you can either choose to wait until the next available item or get a full refund via paypal.
    NOTE: A full refund comprises of the price of the item and the shipping cost that you have paid at the time you purchased the item online.
  8. It will generally take 2-3 weeks after you have sent us the first requesting email to complete the entire Defective Merchandise Return Process.

Received a defected item

Send us an email including
• Order number
• Product ISBN number
• Description of defect

We will send you a RMA number via Email after receiving your email

Securely wrap the item and send it back to us via a trustworthy courier using REGULAR Mail or

We will examine the returned item and ensure damages are found as you described in the original email

Case 1)
No exact damage has been found Been found on the returned item.
Your request will be disapproved, and the returned item will be sent back to you via regular mail with no replacement and no refund of the product or any relating shipping cost will be granted.

Case 2)
Exact damage has on the returned item product
Send you back a new item via regular email or provide a refund.

Reports of defective products on a replacement shipment will not be entertained.

It generally takes about 2-3 weeks to process a return.

Returning Unsatisfying Product

Customers may also return unopened and in their original packaging items, but customers are responsible for the shipping fees for returning the unwanted items. Please follow the Unsatisfying Product Return Process:

  1. Do not open the unsatisfying item, unless the item is in opaque wrapping
    (i.e. in a 6-sided opaque paper box).
  2. E-mail us the order number, the item code of the product, and the reason for returning the unsatisfied item within 14 days after delivery.
  3. Upon receiving your email in step 2, we will process your request and send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if your request is being approved.
    NOTE: If a RMA number is not issued to you, you will NOT be entitled to any refunds of the unsatisfying item
  4. Once you have received the RMA number, please securely wrap the unsatisfying item prior sending it back to us as following address via REGULAR AIR MAIL. The returned item has to be securely packaged and wrapped. We will not be responsible for any damages that occur when sending the item back to us; thus, you are greatly advised to use a trustworthy courier.

  6. After we have received your returned item, the item will be examined to ensure the returned item is in good condition, have not been opened nor used. Your Unsatisfying Merchandise Return request will only be approved if the returned item met the above condition.
  7. Once your Unsatisfying Merchandise Return request has been approved, we will refund you only the price of the product at the time of purchase (i.e. the amount of the product stated in your receipt) in the form of YUKJI Credit. No cash or credit card refund will be issued.
    NOTE: We will not refund any shipping fee or related handling fees (if applicable) that you have paid at the time you purchased the item online.
